Don't Be That Girl

I am so excited to announce that we're back on track. After a little bit of a hiatus, we're back to our regularly scheduled program. It's cuffing season. I dedicated the month of November to the single girl.

Today, we got some advice for the ladies (and even sometimes guys) not to sweat the small stuff. Don't be that girl.

Keep the stalking to a minimum

We didn't say don't stalk. We mean, it's okay to do some light research to make sure the person you are dating is not a domestic violence felon (True story, check out this blog for more).

Don't sweat them

It's all about the "push and pulls."  Give the person you're interested in some space, so they have the opportunity to miss you. Finding a person to spend cuffing season with is about timing and chemistry. If you don't have both of those things, then moving forward in your potential relationship is natural.

Be vulnerable

Some of us ladies lead with sex. You don't have to. Get to know your potential mate for a while, do other things where you can learn about each other, and learn to open up a little bit.

Planning your wedding when you're single

Keep some stuff to yourself. A good friend of mine used to say,

"Let go of a little crazy at a time"

Don't share your wedding goals on your date. It's important to remember that you are dating a person, not someone who will fulfill your wedding dreams. Make it about them first, and your wedding dreams will fall into place.

Don't be judgy

Regardless of how many similarities you have with your significant other, you came from two different households and are going to have some differences. Give the guy you're interested in the benefit of the doubt. You will learn to grow together.
